Library News
IOn January 26, 2017, the library will be sponsoring its first Tech Thursday. A representative from Verizon will be available to assist patrons with any questions regarding smart phones and/or tablets. Please take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about your personal devices.
The library has also purchased a new wireless photocopier/scanner which does print in color. The copier also has the capability of printing directly from a flash drive or a cell phone (once the Brother app has been downloaded onto the phone.)
Beginning February 27th, the library will host a series of computer classes. Please contact the library personnel to register for the classes as space is limited. The first class is a very basic introduction to searching the Internet and navigating the online library catalog. The second class has each participant creating a g-mail account and learning how to email. The third class will cover the basics of using Word; the forth is on Excel or learning about spreadsheets with the final class being a review of all previous classes.
All of these activities have been made possible with funding from the Jay E. Hayden foundation. The trustees and staff are very thankful to be able to provide these services to our community.
Diane Ettelbrick made a $300 donation in memory of her friends and acquaintances who had passed away in 2016. Dale Dillier donated $100 as a Christmas gift. We truly appreciate these recent donations and any others that were received during 2016.
